At KGW-TV, a TEGNA‑owned NBC affiliate in Portland, OR, we are looking for our next Account Executive. As an Account Executive, you are responsible for achieving or exceeding the individual sales goals across all TEGNA marketing solutions from linear TV to digital, including OTT with PREMION. You will act as a lead generator by identifying and reaching clients in the dynamic Portland market that will best take advantage of our solutions. You then become a marketing consultant to the clients helping them define and achieve their business objectives.

What You Will Do
Consistently prospect for new revenue opportunities using client and category insights
Upsell current clients by engaging them in the full product line of KGW 8 offerings
Create custom solutions-driven campaigns that meet client needs across multiple media platforms including broadcast, digital and Streaming (OTT)
Seek opportunities to expand relationships with key clients by taking an active role in understanding their business needs and competitive landscape
Establish strong relationships with internal team members by providing Account Management team with clear and concise direction for successful execution of campaigns
Make decisions and solve problems independently to support customer needs
Partner with Account Managers to provide exceptional customer service and contract fulfillment
Strategically utilize Matrix and station CRM to manage day-to-day activity, pipeline and forecasts
Positively and professionally represent the media group to the community at events and surrounding businesses
What You Need
3-5 years of account engagement in a professional, fast paced media sales environment
Proven track record of successfully achieving or exceeding sales goals and developing new business opportunities as a seller
Understanding of Comscore methodology
Understanding of Google Analytics
Established knowledge of marketing solutions including broadcasting and digital advertising including audio and interactive, and be a perpetual learner, eager to continuously expand your knowledge
Prior working experience using Microsoft Office Suite and CRM (Client Relationship Management) systems, and ability to leverage technology to project manage workload and achieve goals
Excellent written and verbal communication abilities to proactively communicate with clients, co‑workers, and vendors, and to write/edit compelling proposals
Possess a creative mind to put together unique campaigns focused on solving client needs with the ability to work effectively as part of a team
Proven effective problem solver with ability to quickly adapt to changing and competing priorities while meeting deadlines
Strong business acumen with attention to detail and accuracy, as well as strong organization and time management skills
Self‑motivation and a strong work ethic are essential attributes to being successful
