Direct Manager: Aquatics Segment Manager Direct Reports: None Territory Location: South US: East TX, LA, AR, MS, OK Residential Location: Must reside within the Territory

Alligare specializes in strategic markets consisting of Aquatic, Forestry, Range and Pastureland, Railroads, Adjuvants/Additives and Vegetation Management. Our specialties include both developing and distributing custom made herbicides to a variety of clients for a variety of situations.

Role Summary

This role will oversee and execute all selling activities within the designated segment targeted to support customers and end‑users. This function serves as a product expert, that develops strong business relationships with customers and ensures their support and satisfaction with Alligare products.

Responsibilities

Achieving sales, profit, and market share targets with channel partners and end users within the assigned territory as part of the overall sales and marketing plan for the segment

Develop and execute a Territory Plan by expanding market awareness of our products through communicating features and benefits of products successfully;

Act as a steward of the Alligare portfolio by making recommendations and by managing complaints/issues in the field as needed, in partnership with the Market Development Specialists

Manage and grow existing customer base by understanding and anticipating customer needs;

Communicate sales and marketing opportunities with existing and new business opportunities;

Identify and resolve any and all customer disputes while recommending a course of action to alleviate future concerns. Communicate to leadership quickly on corrective actions

Participate in meetings, training sessions, tradeshows, conferences, webinars, and professional development opportunities at a Corporate level and with existing customer base

Maintain awareness of pertinent customer information, future plans, payment performance, and communicate any information that would affect company decisions

Maintain an understanding and knowledge of competitive products and offers by identifying and reporting intelligence on pricing and marketing strategies

Submit ongoing territory reports to include daily activities, competitor information, and customer interaction

Additional duties as assigned

Skills & Abilities

Highly motivated self‑starter who can work autonomously and as a part of a team in a dynamic environment

High level of initiative, creative thinking, decision making, and problem resolution skills

Ability to manage multiple tasks with shifting priorities and timelines

Inherent ability to influence with outstanding communication and interpersonal skills to gain trust

Experience in Aquatic Plant and Algae management and its products as this is the major focus of the territory

Have a solid understanding of water quality and Nutrient management in water

Basic understanding of weed science and weed identification.

Requirements

BS/BA (preferably) in Ag Business or Agricultural Sciences

Live within the territory and the ability to travel extensively within the territory up to 50%

Reliable transportation with clean driving record

Goal of becoming successful in performing territory development activities and personal growth opportunities within Alligare

Knowledge of advertising and sales promotion techniques
