Predoctoral contracts are financed by the MICIU/AEI and the European Social Fund Plus (FSE+)/EU The successful candidate will enrol in a PhD in Political Science at the University of Barcelona (UB) (or equivalent programme) and will be fully integrated into IBEI’s vibrant research environment. Expected start date: no later than May 2026 Duration: 4 years Annual Salary: 24.468,15€gross annual Responsibilities

Contribute to data collection, organization, and analysis (surveys, interviews, document corpus). Support the preparation of academic publications, research reports, and policy briefs. Participate in scientific dissemination (conferences, seminars, workshops). Develop and complete a doctoral dissertation aligned with the project themes (policy advisory systems, evidence-informed policymaking, inclusive governance). Candidate Profile

Official Master’s degree in Political Science, Public Policy, Sociology, Economics, Public Administration, or related fields. Academic record meeting the eligibility criteria for admission to the PhD Program in Political Science at the University of Barcelona (UB) or equivalent. Strong motivation to pursue a doctoral thesis related to the project. Excellent command of English (oral and written). b) Desirable Qualifications

Skills in quantitative data analysis and software (e.g., R, Python). Experience in qualitative research (interviews, document analysis). Interest in governance, participation, science advice, or public policy analysis. What We Offer
