JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS
This position is in the Department of Neurosurgery at Penn State College of Medicine, located in Hershey, Pennsylvania. Supported by multiple NIH‑funded grants, the lab is dedicated to investigating novel mechanisms and treatments for neurovascular injury and vascular dementia. We are seeking a motivated postdoctoral scholar with proficiency in laboratory techniques, including tissue harvesting and processing for applications such as RNA and protein extraction, performing PCR, RT‑qPCR, western blotting, and immunohistochemistry. Experience with mouse models related to vascular dementia and neurobehavioral testing is highly desirable. The successful candidate will contribute to drafting manuscripts for publication and assist in training students and technical staff. The lab is located at Penn State Milton S. Hershey Medical Center, in a small, affordable town with convenient access to major cities such as Philadelphia, Washington, D.C., Baltimore, and New York. QUALIFICATIONS
PhD (or MD) in neuroscience or a closely related field, and proficiency in English is required. TO APPLY
