Role Overview The Geologist Laborer will support the Senior Geologist by performing drilling core handling, sampling, and basic lab tasks on the Mason Project in Nevada and the Copper World Project in Arizona. The position requires safe, organized work and occasional heavy lifting.

Responsibilities

Work safely and maintain an orderly workplace.

Follow company policies and procedures.

Move, unstack, and stack pallets of drill core for geophysical and geotechnical analysis.

Sample drill core and road cut rock following safety and quality best practices.

Split drill core using an automated core saw (training provided).

Operate small equipment such as skid steers and forklifts.

Maintain daily progress reports.

Assist geology and survey departments with field work, housekeeping, and general labor tasks.

Assist other departments at Helvetia or Mason sites as needed.

Keep department trucks clean and maintained.

Perform repetitive lifting up to 50 lbs.

Minimum Qualifications and Education

High School diploma or GED.

Ability to lift 50 lbs and meet all other job requirements.

Positive work ethic.

Maintenance of a drug and alcohol-free workplace.

Reliable transportation to the field location (company vehicles provided).

Valid Driver’s License; must be insured by company insurance.

Preferred Qualifications

Current MSHA certification.

Experience at mine or construction sites.

Physical Requirements The job requires regular talking or hearing, standing, walking, sitting, use of hands, reaching, occasional climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and sitting. The employee must regularly lift up to 50 lbs, frequently 75 lbs, and occasionally 100 lbs. Work near moving mechanical parts and outdoor conditions; noise, fumes, dust, toxic chemicals, and vibration may exist.
