Provider Relations Specialist
Western Reserve Area Agency on Aging (WRAAA) is a private non-profit corporation, organized and designated by the State of Ohio to be the planning, coordinating and administrative agency for federal and state aging programs in Cuyahoga, Geauga, Lake, Lorain and Medina Counties. It is one of twelve Area Agencies on Aging (AAAs) in the state, organized together with local service provider organizations and the Ohio Department of Aging (ODA) to form the state's public aging services network. The network works together to create opportunities for older Ohioans to receive needed home and community services and supports; and to age successfully in their own homes and communities.

Position Summary Provider Relations Specialist manages, monitors and evaluates program compliance of provider agencies.
Job Responsibilities
Monitor contract goals, utilization, units of service, demographic targets and reporting compliance.
Collect and analyze service data.
Conduct annual on-site monitoring visits or desk reviews, which may include a unit verification.
Provide contract utilization feedback to providers.
Review programming in relation to program service specifications, rules, regulations, conditions of participation and contractual obligations.
Manage the contracting process for funding sources: create and process all contracting documents and modifications; provide technical assistance and guidance to ensure provider compliance and quality service delivery.
Plan and implement provider meetings, report provider issues to supervisor, and function as a liaison between service providers and the WRAAA.
Assist in the planning and development of all requests for proposals, in the proposal evaluation and scoring process, and perform special project activities and other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in gerontology, social work (licensed) or related field.
Two years work experience in aging related programs and knowledge of the Older Americans Act preferred.
Experience with program monitoring, evaluation, data analysis and planning.
Sound computer, written and verbal communication skills.
Good interpersonal skills for collaboration with provider agencies and conflict resolution.
Knowledge and use of Microsoft Office applications: Word, Excel, Outlook and other databases.
Ability to travel to provider agency locations in the five‑county area and work in the field about one third to one half of the time.
Car, valid driver’s license and proof of automobile liability insurance available during the work week.
