Overview This is a temporary position beginning on or about January 5, 2026 through on or about September 30, 2026 and payrolled through a 3rd Party Provider.
This temporary Sr. Coordinator, Social Media position is responsible for helping position Major League Soccer as the most engaging and innovative sports brand in social media. This position will help produce Spanish-specific content with MLS photo, video, and editorial teams, and decide how to distribute on MLS Español social media channels to help achieve our objectives in alignment with the Spanish-language digital content strategy. This role will help manage the process in which we create and publish content during the week and on matchdays. The Sr. Coordinator will be key in helping grow the MLS fan base - from the MLS club level to the league level - and supporting all elements of the MLS ecosystem, including our partnership with Apple TV.
Responsibilities
Plan, create and post content for MLS Español social media platforms including but not limited to TikTok, Instagram, Twitter and Facebook on weekdays, evenings and weekends (game, big event, and desk coverage required)
Manage a close working relationship with the MLS Español Digital Content and Editorial team to ensure alignment in storytelling
Collaborate on the content calendar and day-to-day publishing of social content in our voice
Provide and manage live match coverage on weeknights and weekends
Coordinate direct communication with social & digital leads for all MLS clubs
Collaborate cross-departmentally on standard processes for club social content
Manage and implement programming around key events including but not limited to MLS All-Star, Decision Day, and MLS Cup, while working cross-departmentally to ensure all organizational and objectives are met
Collaborate across the enterprise on strategies that leverage players, partners, influencers, and / or celebrities to achieve enterprise-wide metrics

Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree Required
3+ years of experience required, with 2+ years of experience in Social Media, Marketing, or Communications
Required Skills
Innovating attitude and creative spirit
Knowledge of the Spanish Language (native proficiency)
Ability and willingness to travel and to work non-traditional hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
Prior corporate experience with social media platforms such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and TikTok
Prior experience managing team or league handles for soccer and / or sports team
Knowledge of soccer : MLS clubs, the U.S. Men's National Team, Canada Men's National Team and other international soccer, particularly South and Central American
Passion for and experience in social media marketing, with strong understanding of trends and best practices
Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint and Adobe Creative Suite (or other video and photo editing platforms). Video editing for social platforms a plus.
Meticulous with the ability to multi-task and meet deadlines with minimal direction
Passionate about providing fans with a great digital experience by listening, interacting and producing innovative content
Superior organization, project management skills and attention to detail
Ability to work effectively in a fast paced, team environment
Demonstrated decision making and problem-solving skills
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively communicate, both written and verbally
Knowledge of the sport of soccer
Desired Skills
Proficiency in graphic design and photoshop
Ability to travel and to work non-traditional hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
Total Rewards Starting compensation $30.00 - $33.00 / hour; 40 hours / week. MLS / SUM compensation is contingent upon several factors including individual qualifications, market financials, and operational business needs.
