Job Summary and Responsibilities
As our Security Officer, you will monitor buildings and grounds on the property to ensure the safety and security of employees, patients, and other visitors.
Every day you will monitor the property by walking and driving around the premises. Your security detail could include guarding facility and unit access points, monitoring surveillance cameras, testing new security technology, and protecting all employees/visitors against acts of violence should they arise.
Patrol on foot and by vehicle the facility and grounds.
Patrol on foot and by vehicle all perimeter buildings and posts.
Regulate parking by employees and visitors.
Give directions and assist with minor vehicle problems.
Provide escorts for employees.
Provide security coverage in the Emergency Department.
Job Requirements
High school GED or high school graduation, upon hire.
Three (3) years of experience as a security officer, upon hire.
OR six (6) months experience as a security officer in a hospital or healthcare setting, or prior law enforcement or military service.
OR one (1) year experience as a security officer.
Driver's license (Kentucky), upon hire.
Basic Life Support (CPR), within 30 days.
