Overview Focused Staffing Group is seeking a dynamic, student-centered High School Science Teacher to deliver engaging, rigorous, and inquiry-based instruction to students in grades 9–12. The ideal candidate will inspire learners through hands-on labs, scientific exploration, and cross-disciplinary connections aligned with Pennsylvania’s STEELS standards. This role requires a teacher who can create a safe, inclusive, and innovative learning environment that supports both academic growth and critical thinking.
Responsibilities
Teach Biology, Chemistry, Physical Science, or Environmental Science.
Plan and deliver standards-aligned lessons and labs.
Differentiate instruction for diverse learners.
Administer assessments and use data to guide instruction.
Maintain accurate records and prepare students for Keystone Exams.
Support a positive, safe classroom environment.
Collaborate with colleagues and participate in meetings and professional development.
Ensure proper lab safety, chemical handling, and inventory management.
Minimum Qualifications
Valid Pennsylvania Instructional I or II Certificate in at least one of the following areas: Biology 7–12, Chemistry 7–12, General Science 7–12, Physics 7–12
Bachelor’s degree in Education, Science, or a related field
Strong content knowledge and experience with inquiry-based science instruction
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Proficiency with Google Workspace and educational technology tools
