Role Description This is a full-time, on‑site role based in Charlotte, NC, for a Police Officer at Queens University of Charlotte. The Police Officer will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of students, staff, faculty, and university property. Daily tasks include patrolling campus premises, responding to emergencies and incidents, enforcing campus rules and state laws, conducting criminal investigations, collecting evidence, and completing necessary reports. As part of the campus law enforcement team, the Police Officer will actively engage with the community, foster a safe and inclusive environment, and uphold the highest standards of integrity and professionalism.
Qualifications
Proven professional skills and experience in Police work and Law Enforcement
Proficiency in handling Evidence management and Criminal Investigations
Knowledge of public safety practices and policies as a Police Officer
Strong communication, problem‑solving, and conflict resolution abilities
Ability to work collaboratively and professionally in diverse community settings
Valid law enforcement certification and ability to meet state standards
Previous experience in a university or campus law enforcement environment is a plus
Flexibility to work various shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays
