Beverage Manager – Rio Hotel & Casino Las Vegas
The Beverage Manager is responsible for overseeing daily operations within the Beverage Department, including casino bars, lounges, showroom bars, restaurant bars, and floor cocktail servers. This role provides direct management and oversight to the Assistant Beverage Management team and ensures exceptional service and compliance across all outlets.
What You’ll Do Lead the Beverage Department in delivering outstanding guest experiences, maintaining safety and sanitation standards, and supporting promotional activities. You will also develop and manage beverage menus, drive financial performance, and foster strong relationships with beverage partners.
Responsibilities
Maintain exceptional customer service at every interaction.
Build and maintain strong customer relationships on behalf of Rio Las Vegas.
Uphold safety and sanitation standards within all bars, lounges and showrooms.
Uphold policies and procedures to ensure elevated guest service standards.
Understand and communicate market trends and property-wide events with the team.
Assess and communicate operational opportunities with Food and Beverage leadership.
Ensure proper ordering and inventory in all areas of oversight.
Support beverage activations and promotions in multiple areas.
Assist in the mixology and beverage menu development programs.
Menu engineering and development to attract existing and future guests to the outlet and property.
Celebrate the team's successes and make employee engagement a top priority.
Accountable for team member performance and coaching.
Engage in the financial performance and analytic metrics in all areas of oversight.
Perform other reasonable duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Build and maintain positive relationships with beverage partners.
Manage and develop a casino beverage program.
Qualifications
Minimum five (5) years of progressive hospitality operations experience.
Minimum two (2) years in a leadership position overseeing a department, ideally within beverage.
Experience leading large teams in both bargaining and non‑bargaining environments.
Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as demanded.
Strong organizational, solution‑driven, analytical thinking skills.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
Excellent written and oral communication skills, including presenting ideas to all organization levels.
Proactive with attention to detail.
Able to set priorities, work schedules, and meet department deadlines.
High School Diploma or GED (required).
At least 21 years of age.
Preferred
Technical knowledge of Food and Beverage management systems (e.g., InfoGenesis, Kronos, Stratton Warren, Workday) and data analytics systems.
Certifications, Licenses, Registrations
Must be able to qualify for all licenses and permits required by federal, state, and local regulations.
Physical Requirements
Must work under time constraints and within established deadlines.
Must regularly lift or move up to 30 pounds; capable of pushing, pulling, reaching, bending, twisting, kneeling, and balancing within various work areas, including confined spaces.
Working Conditions
Work performed indoors in a climate‑controlled environment with exposure to noise, dust, and smoke.
Ability to work outside in high temperatures.
