As a Safety Manager, you will have a critical impact in fostering a safety-focused culture, driving best practices, and ensuring the wellbeing of all team members within a dynamic manufacturing environment. Responsibilities
Develop, implement, and monitor comprehensive safety programs and policies for manufacturing operations. Lead safety training and education initiatives for all staff to ensure compliance with regulatory and company standards. Investigate workplace accidents or incidents, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence. Conduct regular safety audits, inspections, and risk assessments to proactively identify and mitigate hazards. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of OSHA, state, and federal safety regulations and ensure full compliance across the facility. Collaborate with management and employees to promote a culture of safety and continuous improvement. Prepare and present safety reports and metrics to leadership as required. Must-Have Skills
Proven experience as a Safety Manager or similar role in a manufacturing environment. Strong knowledge of OSHA standards and other relevant safety regulations. Exceptional communication and training skills, with the ability to engage staff at all levels. Demonstrated experience in accident investigation and corrective action development. Ability to conduct and document risk assessments and safety audits. Nice-to-Have Skills
Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field. Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or similar certification. Experience implementing safety programs in a lean manufacturing environment. Familiarity with environmental regulations and sustainability initiatives. Proficiency in safety management software and reporting tools. Seniority level
