Advanced Practice Provider - APRN / PA - Pediatrics Physicians’ Primary Care of Southwest Florida is a premier physician-owned and managed practice with locations in Cape Coral, Fort Myers, Estero, and Lehigh Acres. PPC is growing and we are seeking Advanced Practice Providers (APRN or PA) to join our team. We have opportunities in our Pediatrics division in locations across Lee County.

Our Advanced Practice Providers are responsible for providing pediatric primary care services, including assessing and managing patients following established standards and practices.

Essential Functions

Oversee the medical care of patients under the supervision of a physician.

Develop and maintain a good rapport and a cooperative working relationship with providers, staff, and patients.

Perform duties related to patient care and patient/family education; maintain patient charts, identify health risk factors, prescribe medications, and make referrals as needed.

Instruct patients/families regarding medications and treatments; educate patients regarding health and illness prevention and recommend community resources.

Collaborate with physicians in managing acute and long‑term medical needs of patients.

Maintain strict confidentiality and adhere to all HIPAA guidelines and regulations.

Education BSN or MSN. Successful completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program.

Experience

Minimum of two years of professional nursing experience; two years of APP experience preferred.

Pediatrics experience required.

Requirements A current APRN or PA license in the State of Florida.

Knowledge, Skill and Ability

Knowledge of APP principles and techniques.

Knowledge of methods ensuring a safe working environment for patients, families, and staff, including appropriate use of personal protective equipment.

Skill in taking medical histories and assessing medical conditions.

Ability to apply and modify nursing principles to provide ongoing patient care.

Ability to maintain confidentiality of patient information.

Ability to assess situations, consider alternatives, and choose appropriate actions.

Ability to work effectively as a team member, supporting change, decisions, and managing conflict.
