Position Overview
Security Officer – Armed Patrol – Fairfax, VA – Full Time – $20.90 per hour. Schedule
Mon 10:30 AM – 5:30 PM; Tue 8:00 AM – 5:30 PM; Wed 8:00 AM – 5:30 PM; Thu 10:30 AM – 5:30 PM; Fri 10:30 AM – 5:30 PM. Benefits

Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities within a healthcare environment. Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, maintaining a professional presence as an armed patrol officer. Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and its perimeter to deter unauthorized activity and suspicious behavior. Monitor for and report any security-related concerns or hazards observed during patrols, following established protocols. Collaborate with staff and visitors to address questions or concerns related to security matters, while maintaining a courteous and approachable demeanor. Support access control procedures by observing entry and exit points and verifying credentials as required. Document and communicate incidents, observations, and actions taken in accordance with Allied Universal and site‑specific guidelines. Qualifications
At least 2 years of security‑related experience. Armed guard card or license required. Minimum age 21 for armed roles. High school diploma or equivalent. Background investigation required in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Drug screen required to the extent permitted by law. Participation in industry‑specific security training programs required. Licensing requirements subject to state and/or local laws and regulations.
