The Member Service Representative (MSR) is responsible for providing quality customer service to members while following Baylands Family CU policies and procedures. The MSR plays a key role in daily branch operations, through building relationships with members, while focusing on service, security, and compliance.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Greet and welcome members and visitors to the credit union in a professional manner.
Represent the credit union to members in a courteous and professional manner and provide prompt, efficient, and accurate service in the processing of transactions providing constantly great service.
Removes deposits from automated teller machines and night depository and counts and balances cash received.
Accepts loan payments and complete funding disbursement of loans.
Receives checks and cash for deposit, verifies amount, and examines check endorsements following established credit union policies and procedures.
Respond to members' requests, problems, and complaints, whether in person, by e‑mail or by phone resolving issues, and/or directing them to the appropriate person for specific information and assistance or make corrections and refunds on accounts if necessary.
Promote & cross‑sell credit union products and services based on member needs as determined from member interview/account review. Maintain current knowledge of all credit union’s services and policies.
Required Qualifications:
High School education or equivalent
Minimum one‑year financial institution experience preferred
Acceptable credit rating and criminal background check
Anyone who has experience with banking, cash handling or customer service would translate well to this role.
