Full Time Teller – Rally Credit Union Perform transactional duties to serve members by receiving or paying out funds with the highest accuracy. Maintain accurate transactional records. Provide cash receipt, account, and payment services in accordance with credit union policies and procedures. Cross‑sell and promote credit union products and services.

Essential Job Functions

Provide excellent member service, greet and welcome members courteously, and execute member transactions promptly and accurately.

Process account services such as deposits, loan payments, check cashing, withdrawals, cashier’s checks, money orders, and mail deposits.

Verify amounts, endorse checks, and enter deposits into computer records accurately.

Cash share drafts/checks, process withdrawals, redeem savings bonds, and handle check copy/order requests.

Process member requests (wire transfers, address changes, stop payment, cash advances).

Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of credit union products and services.

Promote electronic services, debit/credit cards, money orders, and safe deposit boxes.

Cross‑sell products by answering inquiries, informing customers of new services and promotions, ascertaining member needs, and directing members to a branch representative.

Balance cash drawer at shift end, compare totals to computer‑generated balance sheet, investigate discrepancies, and report to supervisor.

Perform other teller functions as needed and assist teammates.

Ensure teller station is stocked with forms, supplies, and brochures.

Serve in a dual‑control role when required.

Accurate data entry for member records and transactions; correct errors as needed.

Adhere to security, internal control procedures, policies, mandatory training, compliance, product, and credit union training.

Maintain knowledge of policies, procedures, and regulations, including robbery procedures.

Follow BSA/AML/OFAC/CIP/MDD compliance requirements; complete annual BSA/AML training.

Perform all other duties as assigned.

Relationships and Contacts

Supervise Approximately: None

Reports To: Branch Manager or Teller Manager, where applicable.

Contacts: Frequent face‑to‑face or telephone contact with members and occasional contact with other departments.

Requirements Education

High school diploma or GED required.

Experience

Basic communication, math, and business knowledge or equivalent.

Preferred: Six (6) months of cash handling or cross‑selling experience.

Key skills: accuracy, speed, customer relations, judgment, reliability, and strong relationship‑building with a positive, service‑oriented attitude.

Physical Requirements

Wrist/hand manipulation, restriction to workstation for extended periods, lift up to 50 lbs., bend, stoop, reach overhead.

Close vision for frequent computer monitoring and document review.

Stand for extended periods as needed.

Clear speech and hearing for effective interaction.

Mental Requirements

Perform job functions independently or with limited supervision; work effectively alone or as part of a team.

Read and follow written and oral instructions; speak clearly and deliver information logically.

Handle interactions with diverse personalities calmly and professionally; provide high levels of customer service and discretion.

Work under pressure with accuracy, speed, and changing priorities; exercise highest level of discretion on confidential matters.

Equipment Requirements

Calculator, copy machine, currency counter, cash dispenser, cash advance terminal, ITM/ATM, and personal computer with Windows environment.
