FTC PRN Social Worker
Position at the State of Missouri, at St. Louis Forensic Treatment Center – South and – North, providing specialized care for clients diagnosed with mental illness in an inpatient, secured setting.
Responsibilities
Conduct comprehensive Social Service Assessments (initial and/or annual)
Complete admission and discharge paperwork
Provide individual and/or group treatment and complete corresponding documentation
Create Individual Treatment/Rehabilitation Plans (ITRP) and treatment reviews and modify/update on a routine basis
Write monthly/weekly summary progress notes for clients
Offer case management to assigned clients
Conduct suicide risk and other risk assessments as needed
Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team on a routine basis
Participate in discharge and legal processes (e.g., guardianship, conditional release applications) as necessary
Disseminate pertinent information to vested departments within and outside the facility
Other duties as assigned (assignments will vary based on need and location)
Eligibility
Prior experience providing care for clients diagnosed with mental illness, substance use disorders, and/or intellectual developmental disorders
Willingness to work up to 19 hours a week, no more than 1039 annually, as needed
Demonstrate flexibility in changing assignments between programs and treatment teams, as coordinated by Social Work leadership
Working knowledge of the DSM, evidence-based practices, and social work ethics encouraged
Degree or license in Social Work (BSW, MSW, LBSW, LMSW, or LCSW) preferred; candidates meeting minimum qualifications considered
Provisional and fully credentialed candidates must be professionally licensed in Missouri
