Job Summary You must be a current UK student to apply to this position. This position is located off‑campus with a local Lexington employer and is not affiliated with UK. Centenary is seeking a loving, dependable, and responsible Nursery Worker to provide a safe, nurturing, and welcoming environment for infants and toddlers during our worship services and events. The ideal candidate has a heart for children and a commitment to providing care.

Responsibilities

Provide attentive and loving care to infants and toddlers (typically ages 0‑4)

Maintain a clean, safe, and organized nursery environment

Follow all church safety and check‑in/check‑out procedures

Engage children in age‑appropriate play, stories, and activities

Communicate effectively with parents and guardians

Work alongside volunteers or other staff as scheduled

Report any incidents or concerns to appropriate staff

Required Skills / Knowledge / Abilities

Experience caring for young children (formal or informal)

Warm, patient, and energetic personality

CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)

Must be at least 18 years old

Pass a background check and provide references

Punctual and reliable
