REPORTS TO: Production Supervisor
SUMMARY Set-up dies and operate press to form parts.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Read and follow work instructions
Drive a tow motor
Install dies into presses.
Adjust the press settings according to the set-up instructions
Direct press operators
Prepare necessary paperwork such as production logs etc.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
Ability to read and comprehend instructions, short correspondence, and memos including documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to other employees of the organization.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.
Ability to compute rate, ratio and percent and draw and interpret bar graphs.
Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form.
Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High School Diploma or GED
One year experience in die setup preferred
AUTHORITY
Initiate action to prevent the occurrence of any nonconformities relating to product, process and quality system.
Identify and record any problems relating to the product, process and quality system.
Initiate, recommend or provide solutions through designated channels and/or procedures.
Verify the implementation of solutions.
Control further processing, delivery or installation of nonconforming product until the deficiency or unsatisfactory condition has been corrected. #Time123#TS
