We are looking for a CDL Crane Operator to work at our Billings, MT location, to safely operate cranes efficiently and maintain a standard of accuracy that aligns with company procedures and customer requirements.
Duties and Responsibilities
Efficiently and safely operate a variety of specialized machinery in accordance with established procedures and guidelines, ensuring the correct selection and setup of crane, lift, or hoist.
Inspect and assess ground conditions and any potential overhead obstructions.
Maintain equipment through daily inspections, including routine maintenance and minor repairs.
Maintain logs and records of operational activities.
Maintain visual and radio communications with ground operators according to best practices and site safety regulations, and respond to questions and instructions clearly and quickly.
Perform other duties and tasks as assigned.
Required Qualifications & Skills
High school diploma or equivalent.
Minimum 3 years of experience working with rough terrain cranes, carry decks, crawlers, and mobile cranes.
Class A CDL.
Successfully pass post‑offer drug and physical screens and have a background that meets company requirements.
Dependable and reliable with flexibility to work overtime when necessary.
Maintain a current NCCCO Crane Operators License for qualified equipment.
Ability to read and understand technical drawings, materials, or instructions.
Good verbal and written communication skills to understand instructions, applicable safety regulations, and maintain records.
Strong teamwork ability.
Physical Requirements
Strong depth perception and quick reaction time.
Must be able to lift a minimum of 65 lbs occasionally and 50 lbs regularly.
Visual capabilities to follow hand signals, maintain all logs, and operate machinery.
Ability to sit for long periods of time.
Ability to work in a variety of weather conditions, including extreme heat and cold.
