What will you do as a PMC Patient Service Representative (PSR) As a PSR you will serve as an essential part of the patient experience, acting as a liaison between patients and medical staff by greeting, instructing, and directing patients and visitors. You will manage patient demographics, insurance information, collections at check‑in/out, schedule appointments, and maintain efficient check‑in/out processes.

A day in the life of a PMC Patient Service Representative (PSR) may include:

Greeting patients and visitors promptly, courteously, and helpfully; answering requests for information.

Checking in patients, verifying and updating necessary information; acknowledging patients; and checking patients out. Ensuring patients are kept apprised of the physician’s timetable to reduce waiting time.

Advising patients regarding financial obligations including co‑payments, deductible amounts, insurance eligibility, etc.

Maintaining the lobby in a neat and orderly manner including keeping magazines current.

Coordinating physicians’ schedules; having a thorough knowledge of physician specialties and medical practices.

Answering telephones, returning calls in a timely manner, taking messages, handling requests, and providing accurate information as necessary.

Handling mail, paperwork via fax, and medical records, ensuring accuracy and completeness.

Being a key piece in the PMC mission by providing the highest quality of care to our patients and the communities we serve.

Required Qualifications

High school diploma or GED; or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Preferred Qualifications

One to two‑year experience in a medical office setting.

Shift: Day Shift (Monday through Friday) no weekends or holidays Pay Type: Hourly (Non‑Exempt)
