Job Purpose The crane operator is required to safely operate cranes efficiently and maintain a standard of accuracy that aligns with the company procedures and customer requirements.

Duties And Responsibilities

Efficiently and safely operate a variety of specialized machinery in accordance with established procedures and guidelines ensuring the right selection and set up is made regarding crane, lift or hoist

Inspects and assesses ground conditions as well as any possible overhead obstructions

Maintain equipment through daily inspections, to include performance of routine maintenance and minor repairs.

Maintain logs and records of operational activities

Maintain visual and radio communications with ground operators according to best practices and site safety regulations, and respond to questions and instructions clearly and quickly

Performs other duties and tasks as assigned.

Required Qualifications & Skills

High school diploma or equivalent

Minimum 3 years experience working with rough terrain cranes, carry decks, crawlers and mobile cranes

Current TWIC card

Successfully pass post offer drug and physical screens and have a background that meets company requirements

Dependable and reliable with flexibility to work overtime, when necessary

Maintain a current NCCCO Crane Operators License for qualified equipment

Ability to read and understand technical drawings, materials or instructions

Good verbal and written communication skills to understand instructions, applicable safety regulations, and to maintain records

Must have strong ability work well within a team environment.

Physical Requirements

Strong depth perception and quick reaction time

Ability to pick up, lift, carry, and move a minimum of 65lbs.

Visual capabilities to follow hand signals, maintain all logs and operate machinery

Ability to sit for long periods of time

Ability to work in a variety of weather including extreme heat and cold

Daily Per Diem

Pay Range: 36.00 - 44.00
