Howmet Aerospace is currently looking for a

Metal Workcell

to join our Dover Casting group in Dover, New Jersey. The work hours for this

Midnight

Shift are Sunday Night – Thursday Night 11:00 P – 7:00 A. Training will occur on day shift Mon – Fri 7:00 A – 3:00 P for several weeks.

New Hire Starting Hourly Rate:

$24.15; after 12 months: $26.77

Position will receive an hourly "shift premium" while assigned to an off‑shift.

Position Overview

– Work cell operators dimensionally inspect and repair castings and visually inspect casting to customer specifications.

Environmental Health & Safety Responsibilities

Expected to assist in the implementation of EHS values and policy statements and accompanying principals.

Comply with all department, facility, corporate and regulatory EHS regulations.

Wear all required personal protective equipment (PPE).

Report all job‑related illness and injuries (per Employee Handbook).

Report all safety, health and environmental concerns to your supervisor in a timely manner.

Attend all EHS training.

Essential Job Functions

Perform 100% visual inspection as required per job instructions and pass a written visual test.

Perform belting, stoning, buffing operations to remove visual imperfections beyond customer specifications.

Maintain visual integrity & gaging & repair of pitch, chord width, & trailing edge thickness.

Dimensionally inspect and repair castings by any of the following methods: hammering, arboring, twisting, stoning, belting, buffing and drilling.

Work and communicate effectively with other team members to provide products and services of the highest quality and reliability in total conformance with customer expectations.

Maintain records as required.

Maintain work area in a clean, orderly, and safe condition.

Follow all applicable safety rules, work in a safe manner at all times.

Verify calibration stickers.

Perform other duties as might be assigned by supervision.

Operate electronic gauge as required.

Read & understand finishing visual instructions.

Verify routers are correct before working the job.

Interpersonal Responsibilities Workcell operators have frequent internal contact with quality, engineering and members of other job classifications.

Qualifications

Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.

No relocation benefit is offered for this position. Candidates residing within a 50‑mile radius of Dover, NJ will only be considered.

High School diploma or GED from an accredited institution.

Preferred Qualifications

Good visual accuracy and strong hand‑eye coordination.

Physical Demands

Frequent sitting and/or standing, weather dependent temperatures, manufacturing environment.

Occasional lifting of up to 25 pounds.

Use of gauges, hand guns, belt machines and other measurement and finishing tools.
