Base pay range $42.50/hr - $55.00/hr

Job Summary Responsible for promoting safe, effective, and reliable operation and maintenance of the Renewable fleet.

Inspects, repairs and maintains various types of plant electrical, electronic, instrumentation, controls, and electromechanical equipment. This equipment includes breakers, battery systems, communication, SCADA, and various other devices and control systems.

Responsible for the overall operations to include operating, monitoring, and controlling the status of all power plant systems. Executes plant shut-down and start ups, responds to alarms and equipment issues, coordinates maintenance and work with current plant conditions and commercial commitments.

Job Description Key Accountabilities:

Ensures strict adherence to safety, health and environmental procedures as they relate to plant operations and maintenance including but not limited to Lockout Tagout, Job Safety Analysis, Confined Space, Hot Work, Electrical Safety and PPE.

Inspects, repairs, calibrates, troubleshoots, and maintains various types of plant equipment and systems. Equipment includes leads, buses, breakers, batteries, lighting, cranes, electrical switches, and includes electronic equipment such as recorders, communications systems, uninterruptible power supplies, battery chargers, and electronic logic controllers, both analog and digital.

Conducts low, medium and high voltage switching, and grounding activities for all plant auxiliary equipment.

Locates, analyzes and corrects malfunctions of electrical and electronic equipment.

Understands and is able to ensure proper operation of the plant. Responsible for plant oversight in the absence of management.

Performs technical work or analysis of processes and actively trains others in area of expertise.

Gains knowledge of the entire plant cycle and how it functions.

Maintains a good working relationship with Renewables Team, POC, Purchasing, Warehouse, OEMs, EPC, contractors, and other support groups and vendors.

Keeps records on electrical and electronic equipment, including inspections and overhaul reports, updates maintenance management system (Maximo), and makes effective use of the maintenance planning tools.

Performs routine and emergency maintenance and/or compliance activities on the plant electrical, instrumentation, HVAC, and control systems including weekends, holidays, and scheduled shift as assigned.

Education, Experience, and Skill Requirements

High School education or GED equivalent.

Minimum of 3 years working as an Electrician or Technician in an Energy or OIL & Gas related industry.

Demonstrate effective oral and verbal communications skills.

Provide the technical expertise and skills to effectively work on and troubleshoot various electrical circuits. This includes low voltage control and power circuits, up to high-voltage substation and switchyard equipment.

Provide the technical expertise and skills to perform calibrations and maintenance of field instrumentation.

Proficient computer skills. Understands basic AC/DC Electrical Circuits, Digital/Analog I&C Controls, and Mechanics.

Demonstrates knowledge of how job assignment impacts other systems/units and uses this knowledge to maximize safety and minimize equipment problems.

Demonstrates knowledge and utilization of resources required to perform job, such as drawings, instruction books, calibration data sheets, MAXIMO, etc.

Position is based in Terra Bella, CA. Compensation determined by experience, hourly ranging from $42/hr-52/hr, plus annual bonus, comprehensive benefits, and 401K matching.
