We are currently accepting applications for a Heavy Equipment Operator wanting to advance their construction career. To be successful in this role, you\'ll need experience in Heavy Civil Construction: Mainline Water, Sewer, and Storm Drain. This is a safety sensitive position. Key Responsibilities
Experienced in the installation of water, sewer, and storm pipe. Operate heavy equipment in compliance with the company\'s operating safety policies and procedures. Coordinating and verifying utility mark-out and clearance; traffic control; excavation/trench safety; and related aspects of underground wet utility repairs and construction. Advising the line manager of requisite upgrades, repairs, and replacements. Providing suggestions to refine workflow and boost efficiency. Position Requirements
Exceptional manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination. 2+ years previous experience as an Excavator Operator. Experience digging safely in roadways and around existing underground utilities and with trench boxes. Must possess skill, coordination and awareness to operate heavy equipment in a safe manner with precision and efficiency. Able to slope or bench an excavation. Able to read and understand cut and fill stakes to align and position equipment appropriately. A sound understanding of pertinent safety guidelines. Ability to take direction from the Foreman and provide support to peers. Sharp decision-making skills, particularly when under pressure. Ability to work extended hours, as required. Must be able to pass pre-employment drug test. Pursuant to the Arkansas Medical Marijuana Act 593, this position is a designated safety-sensitive position according to Redstone Construction Group standards & processes. Working Conditions / Physical Requirements
Work environment is a combination of an office and a facility with construction equipment inventory and repair/service shop, and may also include a construction job site. Noise levels can be loud. Safety training required; PPE required outside of office/parking lot area. PPE must comply with site specific requirements. Occasional lifting may be required up to 75 lbs. Must be able to sit and stand for long periods of time with frequent bending and stooping. Job Type:
