What You'll Be Contributing
Promote and follow all plant safety guidelines.
Coordinating truck deliveries.
Load customer trucks and arrange for delivery of product.
Generate bills of lading for truck loading.
Assist the Shipping Supervisor with day‑to‑day office activities and special projects.
Monitor the load out of product to customers.
Daily reconciliation of shipping reports.
Physically maintain and repair equipment and facilities through preventive maintenance in conjunction with Maintenance and Electrical personnel.
Perform minor repairs to load‑out equipment to ensure proper loading.
Practice and observe that the terminal complies with safety and environmental standards.
Perform duties to ensure proper appearance of facility, including general cleanliness, landscaping and janitorial duties.
Additional duties as assigned by supervisor.
To Succeed in This Position
High school graduation or equivalent (required).
1 year of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education, skills, abilities, and experience.
Ability to read, write and understand warning labels, instructions, signs, etc.; willingness to learn (training provided).
Basic computer knowledge.
What to Expect in a Cement Environment Work is performed in a shop environment with outdoor exposure throughout the plant. Mild exposure to cement dust, heat, cold, and noise requires compliance with specified safety guidelines and procedures. Exposure to high elevations up to 250 ft, all weather conditions, and normal operation of mobile equipment that may cause vibration.
