Description Overview Perrigo is hiring for a Distribution position that primarily involves operating powered industrial equipment such as forklifts, order pickers, and dock trucks. The role is essential to receiving product, picking customer orders, and loading trucks for shipment.
Scope of the Role
Report directly to the Distribution Supervisor.
Responsibilities include receiving incoming product, picking orders, and loading trucks.
Operate powered industrial equipment and perform heavy lifting and repetitive physical tasks.
Experience Required
High School diploma or GED required; excellent attendance record.
Valid driver’s license or at least 1 year of motorized forklift or Hilo driving experience.
Must be able to work 40 hours per week with availability for overtime and shift training.
Complete core training within 30 days; basic computer, point‑and‑click, math, comprehension skills.
Strong understanding of safety, teamwork, quality, and procedures.
Ability to stand for the majority of the shift (approximately 85% of the shift). Must have functional vision to meet driver’s license requirements.
Visual, auditory, and fine‑motor coordination are required; correct vision (or correctable). If no valid driver’s license, evaluate vision and physical requirements.
Physical Requirements Stand, walk, lift and move items up to 60 lbs., push/pull 60 lbs., bend, squat, twist, reach, and grasp. Occasionally climb stairs. Ability to handle loud noise exposure and machinery.
