Pay: $19.20 during training period, then paid by the load.
Responsibilities
Responsible for the humane handling and transportation of live poultry from producer farm sites to the processing plant as well as completion of related documents.
Use electronic log.
Perform pre/post inspection for truck & trailer.
Scale empty weight at the farm.
Use necessary PPE.
Unbind cage hooks for crew to load birds.
Secure load by binding with cage hooks.
Fuel each trip and scale loaded weight.
Operate holding shed, dolly down/unhook.
Report to Live Haul Supervisor/Manager.
Qualifications
Must have a valid Class A CDL.
Good safety record.
Ability to do frequent heavy lifting with a mechanical aptitude.
Ability to bind cages with an excess of 150 pounds of torque weight on a frequent basis.
Must complete a DOT physical and drug & alcohol screen.
Must have 12 months of verifiable tractor/trailer experience.
Must have the ability to operate a manual CMV.
