Update court data and victim contact information. Prepare notifications for domestic violence victims and assist with printing and mailing. Call victims to remind them of court hearings and solicit input via victim questionnaires to provide to the court and prosecutor. Assist with maintenance of grant statistics for grant reporting. Provide backup clerical support when the Domestic Violence Advocate is absent. Attend court hearings as needed, interacting with victims and providing information to the prosecutor and court. Perform standard clerical tasks such as typing memoranda, letters, reports, and other material; sort mail and file correspondence as required. Minimum Qualifications / Requirements of Work
Knowledge of standard computer keyboard configurations and ability to access, interpret, and record information using a video display terminal and electronic keyboard. Working knowledge of proper grammar, spelling, and punctuation; some knowledge of office practices and procedures. Skill in typing rapidly and accurately; ability to develop skills in operating office machines. Ability to communicate clearly and effectively, both orally and in writing. Knowledge of basic record-keeping methods requiring thorough attention to detail in entering and retrieving information from multiple databases. Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds; ability to deal tactfully and courteously with employees and the public. Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with associates.
