What You’ll Do

Safely operate heavy equipment such as skid steers, backhoes, trenchers, pavers, dozers, milling saws, road grinders, hydro‑excavators, track hoes, and other equipment.

Load and unload equipment and materials.

Perform daily pre‑shift vehicle and equipment inspections.

Carry out regular maintenance and cleaning on assigned vehicles and equipment.

Maintain all required operator qualifications.

Assist crew members with general labor as needed.

Undertake additional tasks as requested by leadership.

What You’ll Have

High school diploma or equivalent.

Valid driver’s license.

1+ year experience safely operating equipment in close proximity to workers and underground utilities.

Work Environment

Work sites are outdoors and may involve extreme weather conditions.

All safety instructions are written and spoken in English; fluency in English is required.

Work involves prolonged lifting (up to 50 lbs), standing, climbing, kneeling, reaching, crouching, and crawling.

Operations occur within the equipment’s “red zone.”

Errorful hand‑eye coordination and constant alertness are essential for safety.

Legal Requirements

Pass pre‑employment, random, post‑accident, and reasonable suspicion drug screens.

Provide valid U.S. work authorization documents for E‑Verify.

Satisfactory pre‑employment background check results.

Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.

Pass pre‑employment medical fit‑for‑duty test and hold/obtain a DOT medical card.

Join and maintain Union membership.
