Manager, Digital & Community Health Applications Position Summary

The Manager, Digital & Community Health Applications oversees the implementation and enhancement of Epic Healthy Planet applications inclusive of but not limited to Coordinated Care Management, Population health registries, roster management, radar dashboards and associated reporting, MyChart and other patient engagement tools, affiliate portals and projects supporting population health management and value based care strategies. In collaboration with the team and ECU Health IS management, this position possesses and maintains specialized experience of managing projects and understanding of Epic functionalities. This position requires the ability to oversee the controls and processes in place to provide a highly available and reliable system, as well as constantly improving operational capabilities.

The Manager, Digital & Community Health Applications provides solutions incorporating an exceptional level of communication and organizational skills among IS technical and application staff. This position requires the ability to understand the needs and expectations of the application user community. This position requires an understanding of ECU Health and ECU Health operating unit strategic goals, as well as the ability to work with subject matter experts to plan and execute business initiatives in alignment with those goals. This position requires a person who can work within an integrated group, and can manage and mentor personnel with diverse backgrounds and knowledge. The manager must be detail, action, solution and results oriented and must demonstrate creativity, foresight and mature judgment in managing the production environment.

Minimum Requirements

Master's/Bachelor's degree in public health, healthcare administration, behavioral/social science, business, information management or related field strongly desired- or higher.

Minimum five (5) years in healthcare environment with demonstrative progression in leadership roles. Must have a strong operational background and proven track record of accomplishments in Information Services within a large, complex, multi-location organization.

Demonstrated track record implementing and successfully managing a mission critical IS production environment with multiple stakeholders in a multi-entity, geographically diverse organization.

Seasoned professional with at least three (3) years subject matter experience in ambulatory clinic operations as well as a deep understanding of current business issues and trends influencing health care providers.

Epic vendor experience strongly preferred.

Skills

Polished interpersonal skills to communicate tactfully, effectively and with discretion within all levels of management.

Demonstrated ability to manage the implementation of long-range IT plans and strategies across a multi-stakeholder, multi-entity environment maintaining schedules, documentation, communications and meeting deadlines.

Proven experience with systems implementation, workflow processes and support of applications required.

Ability to influence, work with, and coordinate cross-functional teams of technical and non-technical staff to successfully achieve organizational goals and objectives.

Strong analytical and problem solving skills. A critical thinker who uses their expertise to make sound decisions.

Innovative thinker who is able to rapidly absorb complex technical and operational information and present understandable alternatives to both users and technical individuals at all levels of the organization.

Ability to remain calm, helpful, and productive in all situations. Is able to maintain composure under pressure. Is seen as the voice of reason during difficult situations.

Functional accounting, budgeting and variance accounting.

Pay Range

$112,070.40 - $163,351.76
