Department Summary The UCLA Anderson Venture Accelerator provides support to early‑stage startups launched by UCLA students, faculty, alumni, and the LA community. As an integral part of UCLA’s entrepreneurial ecosystem, the Accelerator strengthens the culture of innovation and collaboration across campus. Located within the Harold and Pauline Price Center for Entrepreneurship & Innovation, the Accelerator offers programming, mentorship, and community‑building opportunities that help founders develop and scale their ventures.
Position Summary Under the supervision of the Executive Director, the Program Marketing Manager leads marketing, communications, and brand strategy for the Venture Accelerator, elevating visibility for UCLA's entrepreneurship initiatives. The role develops and executes marketing campaigns, social media strategy, digital communications, and more. The position manages all content creation for social media, newsletters (weekly and quarterly), website updates (per cohort), event promotion, and physical & digital marketing materials, ensuring consistent and engaging storytelling across platforms. In addition to overseeing marketing strategy and execution, the Program Manager executes cohort program communications, including managing application cycles, founder communications, speaker & program alumni outreach, and event logistics for flagship initiatives such as the UCLA Draper Innovation Showcase and Accelerate Program. The role also coordinates with vendors, campus partners, and volunteers to ensure successful delivery of all programs and events. Additional responsibilities include collecting and analyzing engagement metrics, supporting monthly and annual reports that highlight program outcomes, and representing the Accelerator at UCLA and Los Angeles startup community events. The Program Manager prepares presentation materials, assists with budget monitoring, and ensures timely, compliant financial transactions. This role requires strong creative, organizational, and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to balance multiple projects in a fast‑paced environment. Assignments are broad; the employee is expected to be self‑directed with minimal supervision.
Salary & Compensation
UCLA provides a full pay range. Actual salary offers consider factors such as budget, prior experience, skills, knowledge, and other business considerations. Qualifications
Marketing & Communications – 2–3 years of experience developing and executing marketing campaigns across digital, social, and email channels. (Required)
Program & Event Management Experience coordinating events, workshops, or multi‑stakeholder programs with attention to logistics and communication. (Required)
Partnerships & Collaboration – Proven ability to build and manage relationships with internal and external partners, sponsors, or community stakeholders. (Required)
Strategic Thinking & Initiative – Demonstrated ability to work independently, translate abstract ideas into actionable plans, and contribute as a strategic, solutions‑oriented team member. (Required)
Startup & Entrepreneurship Ecosystem Experience – Working with startups or demonstrated interest in entrepreneurship and innovation. (Preferred)
Data & Content Tool Fluency – Familiarity with analytics and creative tools such as Google Analytics, Canva, Adobe Suite, or social media management platforms. Experience with marketing AI tools to lessen repetitive workload is a plus. (Preferred)
Conflict Mediation Experience in in‑group settings. (Required)
Analytical & Solution Design Skills – Ability to analyze complex problems and develop researched solutions and recommendations. (Required)
Excellent communication skills – Both written and oral; ability to communicate complex information clearly, concisely, and diplomatically. (Required)
Computer Proficiency – Strong skills with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, web development, and survey tools. (Required)
Tracking System Development – Skill in creating computerized tracking methods for attendance and assignments. (Required)
AI Tool Curiosity – Willingness to use AI tools to minimize repetitive work and creative content development. (Required)
Program Management Experience – Demonstrated experience in program management and student affairs or related operations. (Required)
Availability – Ability to work occasional evenings and weekends. (Required)
Interpersonal Collaboration – Strong interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate effectively. (Required)
Event & Program Management – Proven ability to manage multiple programs and events from planning through execution with professionalism and attention to detail. (Required)
Marketing & Social Media Strategy – Demonstrated skill in developing and executing marketing and social media strategies, including content creation and campaign coordination. (Required)
Organizational & Prioritization Skills – Highly organized, adaptable, and able to prioritize competing deadlines in fast‑paced environments; proactive and detail‑oriented. (Required)

Schedule Standard hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
