Overview The Department of Marketing seeks temporary/nontenured faculty to teach marketing courses. Appointments are semester-based, teaching 1‑4 courses. Eligibility for reappointment depends on performance evaluation, continuity of funding, and departmental need. Faculty may teach at San Marcos, Round Rock, Houston – San Jacinto, and/or online.
Responsibilities
Teach 1‑4 marketing courses per semester, subject to student demand.
Prepare and deliver course outlines, syllabus, lecture materials, and assignments.
Assess student learning through assignments, exams, and examinations.
Provide student advising and guidance on academic matters and career path.
Maintain current knowledge of marketing research and trends.
Participate in departmental meetings and curriculum development.
Qualifications
Master’s degree and 18 graduate hours in teaching field (minimum).
Strong teaching record or experience preferred.
Excellent communication, organization, and time‑management skills.
