We are seeking a
Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor
to join our
Substance Use Disorder Services
team. The general purpose of this position is to provide co-occurring substance abuse counseling services.
Essential Functions
Complete duties regarding client services including: screening, intake, orientation, assessment, treatment planning, counseling (group, individual & family), case management, crisis intervention, client education, referral, reports, recordkeeping, and consultation
Follow and support the SUDS philosophy, policies, procedures, and job responsibilities
Develop and maintain appropriate professional relationships with referral sources and community agencies
Diagnose substance abuse disorders
Meet with families to identify needs for services and to make appropriate referrals
Maintain records according to the SUDS policies and procedures along with co-occurring regulations
Work as an active and effective treatment team member
May assist in the training of paraprofessionals in performance of clinical duties
Will collaborate with education programs/institutions to coordinate educational needs of adolescent clients
Qualifications
Current, unrestricted license as an LADC in the State of MN
Current First Aid and CPR Certification from the American Heart Association or willingness to obtain upon hire
At least one year of work experience in direct service to individuals with substance use problems or one year of work experience in the management or administration of direct service to individuals with substance use problems
A Bachelor’s degree or three years of work experience in administration or personnel supervision in human services
Education or experience in co-occurring disorders
Travel is a function of this position; ability to operate a motor vehicle along with a valid driver’s license is required.

A starting wage of $64,000 annually
