Position: Full-time, 9‑month, tenure‑track beginning August 1, 2026.
Job Description The Department of Biological Sciences seeks applicants for a full‑time, 9‑month, tenure‑track position in Biology beginning August 1, 2026.
Responsibilities
Teach courses in human anatomy and physiology and introductory biology; preference for those able to teach mammalogy.
Possibly teach other courses depending on expertise and departmental needs.
Maintain a typical teaching load of 12 credit hours per semester.
Provide student advisement, departmental and university service, and scholarly activities normally associated with the department.
Demonstrate teaching excellence and a clear plan for involving undergraduates in research.
Qualifications
Completed all requirements for a Ph.D. in Biological Science or a related discipline by August 1, 2026.
A letter of application, current vitae, unofficial transcripts, at least three references for recommendation letters, a concise one‑page statement of teaching philosophy, and a one‑page research statement with a clear plan for involving undergraduate research students.
