We are seeking qualified candidates for a High School Drama Teacher at BASIS Cedar Park. The subject expert teacher (SET) ensures daily exceptional education by preparing and facilitating lesson plans, implementing the BASIS curriculum, and tailoring study topics to integrate their passion for the subject.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in subject matter (or 24+ credit hours in applicable subject matter with another degree).
Valid Identity Verified Prints (IVP) Fingerprint Clearance Card.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
Preferred Qualifications
Master’s degree from an accredited college or university in subject matter or education.
2+ years of teaching/education experience.
Essential Functions
Prepare and facilitate subject and grade‑specific lesson plans.
Provide subject instruction above grade‑standard in an interactive learning environment.
Implement the BASIS Curriculum by designing effective and creative lessons and assessments.
Collaborate with other BASIS Curriculum teachers to develop curriculum and build a community of like‑minded professionals.
Tutor students in content‑specific knowledge and skills to heighten academic and career success.
Manage student behavior to foster academic achievement and personal responsibility.
Support execution of non‑instructional functions such as “Early Bird,” “Late Bird,” and lunch.
Maintain regular, full, predictable attendance and supervise students.
