Position Description
Postdoctoral scholar positions (Levels 0-IV) for the 2025-26 academic year at the Beckman Laser Institute, University of California, Irvine.
Candidate should possess the ability to work in an interdisciplinary team setting.
Experience in molecular biology and cell culture is desirable.
Seeking qualified candidates with experience in the following biomedical engineering fields:
Biomedical photonics/optoelectronics
Biomedical nano- and microscale systems/fabrication
Biomedical computation/modeling
Biomolecular and cellular engineering
Biomaterials
Tissue/regenerative engineering
Neuroengineering
Systems biology
Cardiovascular engineering
These positions require a Ph.D. in biomedical engineering, electrical or optical engineering, chemical engineering, mechanical engineering, physics, chemistry, or biology, or an M.D. or foreign equivalent.
Positions are contingent upon extramural funding. Initial appointments are for two years, renewal based on performance and funding. The total duration of postdoctoral service may not exceed five years.
