Physical Requirements Sitting at a computer workstation for long periods of time; standing for long periods of time; risk of back injury from moving/lifting equipment or materials; lifting/carrying up to 50 lbs; pushing/pulling up to 50 lbs; exposure to hazardous chemicals or fumes; burns/cuts/punctures; bloodborne/airborne pathogens; recombinant DNA/viral vectors. Shift 8–5, occasional nights/weekends if needed.

Job Summary Dr. Ka Wing “Will” Fong, Assistant Professor, Department of Toxicology and Cancer Biology, University of Kentucky, is recruiting a postdoctoral fellow to study transcriptional, epigenetic and metabolic regulation of prostate cancer.

The complete publication list is available at https://medicine.uky.edu/users/kfo241. The candidate will work on prostate cancer–related projects using cutting‑edge technologies, including CUT&RUN, CUT&TAG, ATAC‑seq, stable‑isotope resolved metabolomics, proteomics and bioinformatics.

Responsibilities

Study transcriptional, epigenetic and metabolic regulation of prostate cancer.

Design and perform experiments using genomic, proteomic, and metabolomic techniques.

Analyze data and interpret results in the context of prostate cancer biology.

Collaborate with the research group and assist in manuscript preparation.

Present findings at internal meetings and potentially at conferences.

Qualifications

Ph.D. or equivalent degree in a relevant field.

Prior research experience in cancer biology and molecular biology.

Experience with genomic and proteomic technologies such as CUT&RUN, CUT&TAG, ATAC‑seq, and metabolomics is desirable.

Strong analytical, statistical, and informatics skills.

Excellent written and oral communication skills.

Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a research team.
