Broken Bow Golf Club is excited to announce a career opportunity for a hands‑on, highly motivated Golf Course Superintendent.
BBGC is a nine‑hole course located in Custer County, Nebraska. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to make their name in the industry and enjoy the small town life in a progressive agriculture‑centered community.
Responsibilities
Direct and supervise the maintenance of greens, fairways, tees, driving range, roughs, maintenance shop, grounds, and clubhouse landscaping.
Supervise all planting, fertilizing, and care of turf, plants, shrubs, trees, and other facilities on the golf course, grounds, and equipment.
Responsible for maintenance, operation, management, preparation, and condition of the golf courses and grounds.
Grow, maintain, and manicure varieties of turf grass, ensuring the continued quality of turf.
Manage and document chemical, pesticide, and fertilizer use.
Implement the agronomic plan for the golf course.
Communicate daily with Club House staff on golf course condition and playability.
Plan and implement schedules of fertilizer, aeration, weed management, and other related activities.
Hire and train all staff within the department, and ensure staff are working within guidelines for safe working conditions.
Ensure that equipment is properly serviced and maintained.
Reconcile and provide timely coding of all invoices, payroll, and other required documents.
Manage seasonal employees.
Report to the Board of Directors monthly.
Preferred Qualifications
No degree or golf course experience is required for this position; however, the wage will be based on degrees and experience.
Continuing education will be provided by BBGC.
Superior leadership and managerial skills.
Ability to work a flexible schedule, including holidays and weekends.
Strong communication skills and multitasking required.
Job is Available: March 1, 2026 Job Closing Date: March 1, 2026
The regular contract will be from March 1 to November 1, with attendance at the monthly winter board meetings required.
Salary: $50,000 to $60,000 per year based on experience and or degrees.
