Position Overview
Beach Montessori is looking for strong and reliable assistant teachers for our ones, two's, and infant classrooms. This role involves leading activities, supervising playtime, employing a variety of educational techniques such as storytelling and educational play, and communicating regularly with parents to support each child's development.
Duties
Maintain a clean and tidy classroom in accordance with health and safety standards.
Collaborate with other educators as a team player.
Lead activities, supervise playtime, and employ teaching techniques to engage children.
Communicate regularly with parents to understand each child's background and psyche.
Promote love, kindness, patience, and boundaries using the Montessori Method and Biblical principles within a multi‑aged classroom structure.
Requirements
At least 18 years old.
Dependable, reliable, flexible, loving, caring, and a positive team player able to communicate well with children, parents, and staff.
At least 6 months to one year of teaching experience with toddlers, infants, or young school‑age children in the classroom.
Nice to Haves
CPR certification.
Childcare experience (at least 6 months).
Virginia's 10‑hour preservice training and the 3‑hour update.
Child Abuse certification.
Health Screening certification.
Benefits Part‑time and full‑time positions available. Pay rate depends on the amount of experience and will be discussed during a scheduled interview.
