Autism Support Technician (Behavior Tech)

Overview We are hiring to support individuals with autism and other developmental disabilities using Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA). This is an entry‑level position for a Behavior Technician.

Location: Whittier, CA. Sessions are completed in clinics, clients homes, or community locations within 20 miles or 30 minutes of your home.

Compensation: $22.00 — $28.00 per hour.

Schedule Part‑time, 15‑25+ hours per week.

Block 1: Monday – Friday 9am – 3pm

Block 2: Monday – Friday 9am – 12pm

Block 3: Monday – Friday 12pm – 3pm

Block 4: Monday, Wednesday, Friday 9am – 3pm

Responsibilities As a Behavior Technician, you will:

Work one‑on‑one with children and teens with autism and other developmental needs.

Follow a personalized therapy plan created by our clinical team.

Use play, routines, and activities to help clients grow.

Track progress by taking notes and recording behaviors.

Encourage independence and build everyday life skills.

Celebrate every win—big or small!

We provide thorough training and ongoing support from a caring, multi‑disciplinary team. Every child is unique, and we tailor therapy to each client’s needs, interests, and goals.

Qualifications Minimum Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent.

6 months of experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities (paid or unpaid).

Ability to lift at least 10 pounds, sit, and run as needed.

Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and active auto insurance.

Comfortable commuting 20 miles or 30 minutes to client sessions.

Passion for working with children, youth, and young adults with developmental disabilities.

Preferred Qualifications

Associate or bachelor’s degree.

ABA experience or RBT certification.

CPR certification for pediatrics and adults.

Experience managing a wide variety of maladaptive behaviors, including non‑compliance, elopement, verbal and physical aggression, and self‑injurious behaviors.
