Job Summary We are accepting applications for a full‑time, tenure‑track faculty position as Assistant Professor or Associate Professor of Architecture OR Construction Management in the College of Architecture and Construction Management (CACM). The preferred start date is August 2026. This position is a nine‑month contracted role, work to be performed in the state of Georgia. Rank and home department will be determined at hiring and will be commensurate with credentials.
Responsibilities
Lead the newly established CACM Research‑in‑Practice Consortium.
Deliver high‑quality instruction at the undergraduate or graduate level in Architecture or Construction Management with a focus on practice‑based or practice‑focused research.
Develop and sustain a robust research agenda that contributes to the advancement of knowledge and practice in the chosen field.
Participate in department, college, and/or university service activities. Collaborate with colleagues and contribute to a positive and productive academic environment.
Required Qualifications
An earned Doctorate degree, or the foreign equivalent, in Architecture, Construction Management or a closely related discipline is required at the time of hire.
A Master's degree (M.Arch), or the foreign equivalent, in Architecture or a closely related discipline AND Professional Architectural Registration is required at the time of hire.
Record of past teaching in Architecture Studio or Construction Management and an area of specialization.
Demonstrated evidence of scholarship and/or creative activities.
Additional required qualifications for an Associate Professor position:
A demonstrated record of research capability including publications and grants.
An established body of research including external funding record and academic background and appropriate credentials to be hired as a tenure‑track Associate Professor.
Preferred Qualifications
Demonstrated record of engagement in applied/practice‑based or practice‑focused research in architecture or construction management.
Demonstrated record of leading research units in academic or professional settings.
Demonstrated experience in managing research or professional projects including budget management.
Demonstrated prior success in obtaining extramural funding.
Demonstrated professional practice experience in architecture or construction management.
