Role Description

This is a part-time volunteer, on-site, hybrid or remote role for a Coordinator of Volunteers, located in Santa Rosa, California. The Coordinator of Volunteers will oversee recruitment, training, and ongoing support of volunteers. Responsibilities include managing schedules, organizing volunteer activities, building relationships within the community, fostering collaboration, and supervising volunteer interactions. Additionally, the role involves coordinating outreach initiatives to engage and retain volunteers while promoting the mission of Sonoma CAN.

Qualifications

Experience in Volunteer Training and Volunteer Management preferred

Strong Interpersonal Skills and Communication abilities

Perfect for a student or retired person who wants to belong to a wonderful organization

Previous career or working towards a career in Social Work, Human Services or related field

Ability to manage, motivate, and support volunteers effectively

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

Flexibility to adapt and collaborate in a dynamic, community-focused environment

Passion for community development and familiarity with non-profit operations is a plus

Computer skills and a plus would be CRM and non-profit software platform use experience
