Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail–oriented Research Associate to coordinate a project aimed at addressing health disparities across Georgia and to manage and maintain our hematological malignancies registry. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to cutting‑edge research and improve patient outcomes.
Travel:
This position requires travel and may require overnight travel.
Responsibilities
Coordinate research studies targeting access to breast and cervical cancer screenings for women in rural Georgia and South‑Carolina.
Monitor project timelines and ensure milestones are met per the study plan.
Communicate effectively with external partners, patients, healthcare providers, research institutions, and funding agencies.
Travel to target areas to coordinate, monitor, and execute patient surveys in the breast and/or cervical cancer screening program.
Accurately collect, enter, and manage patient data related to hematological and other malignancies in the registry database.
Maintain and update the registry database, ensuring data integrity and security.
Assist in data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and research opportunities.
Assist in the development and implementation of research protocols and standard operating procedures.
Generate protocols for clinical research and submit to the Institutional Review Board (IRB).
Assist in the preparation of scientific manuscripts, meeting abstracts, grant proposals, and funding applications.
Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Required Qualifications
Master’s degree from an accredited institution and experience in research, basic science or clinical laboratory, particularly clinical trial research; OR
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in chemistry, biology, biochemistry, cell biology, or related natural/healthcare sciences plus at least one year of clinical research and/or clinical experience.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in clinical research, data management, or registry management, preferably in hematology or oncology.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail with a commitment to high‑quality data standards.
Experience with hematological malignancies or related registries.
Human subjects training in a clinical research capacity.
Experience working with patients in a clinical or research setting.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Maintain confidentiality.
Detail‑oriented.
Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office and other software/databases.
Shift/Salary/Benefits Shift:
Days/M-F.
Pay Band:
B8.
Salary Range:
$45,400 – $50,000 annually.
Recruitment Period:
10/8/25 – Until Filled.
Benefits may include health, dental, life insurance, Teachers Retirement System (or Optional Retirement Plan), earned vacation time, sick leave, and 13 paid holidays. Full‑time employees employed for 6+ months may be considered for the Tuition Assistance Program.
