Job Overview This position is responsible for maintaining cleanliness of the grounds and processes in the Bean Preparation building and complying with all applicable Company standards and government regulations.
Primary Responsibilities
Clean the entire CRUSH Division as directed by Superintendent, Assistant Superintendent, or Supervisors, covering all site grounds and major processing areas.
Monitor plant work areas to ensure they remain clean and free from safety hazards, requiring regular bending and lifting.
Uphold LDC policies and standards, complete all training associated with the position, and keep up with new criteria as required by LDC.
Ensure compliance with Company safety rules and wear proper PPE as required.
Assist Prep personnel with special projects and provide extra manpower when needed.
Maintain all grounds, including snow removal and sidewalk cleaning in winter and plant grounds upkeep during summer.
Able to drive a skid steer, work in confined spaces, and work at heights.
Additional Responsibilities
Participate in Shift/Team activities, adhering to best practices, SOPs, continuous improvement, and development efforts.
Participate in job‑related training as required.
Qualifications
High school diploma or GED.
Minimum 4 years of experience in an industrial environment.
Knowledge of manufacturing processes and procedures.
Ability to operate machinery and computer systems while complying with OSHA, EPA, USDA, ISO 9000, and B‑Q‑9000.
Mechanical aptitude, effective communication skills, basic math, and fundamental PC skills.
Ability to climb stairs and ladders, work at heights, and manage confined space entry; withstand extended periods of walking and standing; move manufacturing materials and equipment of 50 pounds or more requiring bending and lifting.
Well organized, self‑motivated, action‑oriented, and able to work effectively in a team environment.
Working Conditions Safety‑sensitive position with continuous 24/7 plant operation. Regular exposure to varying temperatures, prevailing weather conditions, gases, vapors, dust, odors, and flammable liquids. Heavy lifting of manufacturing materials and products is required; the role requires stair climbing, extended walking and standing, and occasional work in remote areas, heights, and confined spaces. Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) will be worn in compliance with Company standards and government regulations. Extensions of regular working hours are occasionally necessary to complete time‑sensitive projects or respond to emergencies.
