Job Description:
Department: Faculty; January 5 - February 12, 2026, with the possibility of extending the date range. Full-time preferred but part time considered. Full-time hours: 7:15am-3:15pm, M-F (plus additional special event days/hours as stipulated).
Salary Range: $33.75 per hour
Assets School seeks a long-term substitute teacher for the Spring 2026 semester. Candidates must be able to:
Deliver instruction in Algebra II, following the curriculum and lessons of the regular teacher and adapting to meet the needs of students.
Support, monitor, and evaluate student progress through constructive feedback as well as grading assignments and assessments.
Maintain records, including daily attendance and records of student progress/performance.
Maintain a safe, positive, and organized learning environment, and manage classroom behaviors.
Communicate with administration, staff, and parents about student progress and behavior.
Collaborate with other teachers, the counselor, and administration to address student needs.
Supervise students during classroom learning as well as during assigned daily duty periods.
Provide other school support as needed or assigned.
We highly desire candidates who have experience with and/or knowledge of twice-exceptional and neurodiverse learners, including those with dyslexia and other learning differences. Candidates must be clear communicators and strong collaborators who are able to develop rapport and foster healthy, positive, productive relationships with students, colleagues, and students’ parents/guardians. Bachelor’s Degree and teaching experience required. Salary commensurate with experience.
