Position: Apprentice Golf Professional (Full-time). Seniority level: Internship. The Lethbridge Country Club is seeking an Apprentice Golf Professional. Established in 1913, the Lethbridge Country Club is Southern Alberta’s only 18‑hole private facility. Our Pro Shop is looking for an individual who is highly motivated, personable, energetic, and looking to gain valuable experience in all aspects of the golf industry. Responsibilities
Deliver exceptional customer service to members and guests in all golf operations. Assist with daily Pro Shop operations, including merchandising and point‑of‑sale activities. Conduct private, group, and junior golf lessons. Support junior programs, clinics, and player development initiatives. Assist with club fitting and club repair services. Prepare, organize, and execute club events and tournaments using Golf Genius. Uphold and enforce all Club policies, procedures, and standards of professionalism. Work collaboratively with the Head Professional and golf operations team. Maintain a professional, businesslike appearance and demeanor at all times. Take accountability for assigned duties in a fast‑paced environment. Qualifications
Self‑motivated, willing to accept responsibility and accountability while working in a high‑paced environment. Providing exceptional customer service. Conduct yourself in a professional, businesslike manner. Recognize the importance of pro shop/club policies and procedures. Club fitting and club repair experience. Ability to teach private, group and junior lessons. Preparing and running Club Events utilizing Golf Genius. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Passion for the golf business as a whole and the willingness to grow as a Golf Professional. Compensation
$3,600 to $4,000 per month based on experience. Benefits
PGA of Canada Dues Reimbursement upon completion of contract. Staff Uniforms for Club Events and Tournament Dates provided. Potential Tournament Allowance. Potential Equipment Package. 100% of Teaching Revenue (potential teaching revenue $5,000‑$10,000). Staff meal provided while on shift during the golf season (April 1 to October 20). Option to join the Club’s Health Benefits Plan (80% paid by Club, 20% paid by employee). Contact
