ORAU
Astrophysics: Field Galaxy Surveys – NASA Postdoctoral Program
Join the Astrophysics: Field Galaxy Surveys role at ORAU, sponsored by NASA. The NASA Postdoctoral Program (NPP) offers one‑to‑three‑year fellowships to engage in research projects at NASA Centers, Headquarters, or affiliated institutes. These fellowships are competitive and are designed to advance NASA’s missions in space science, Earth science, aeronautics, space operations, exploration systems, and astrobiology.
Research Focus Field galaxy surveys have been instrumental in advancing our understanding of galaxy evolution. Utilizing data from the Webb, Hubble, Spitzer, and Chandra Deep Fields, as well as JWST and HST legacy surveys, ground‑based follow‑up, and theoretical modeling, the program investigates galaxy morphology, gravitational lensing, and emission‑line galaxy searches. Results will inform future surveys planned with the Nancy Grace Roman Space Telescope.
