About the Role We are looking for a senior hydrology and hydraulics professional to help lead and grow our water resources capabilities in Texas. This position can be based in San Antonio, Austin, or the Dallas/Fort Worth area and will serve as a technical and strategic resource for both clients and internal teams.

What You'll Do

Act as the primary technical lead for hydrology and hydraulics design efforts.

Oversee project execution, schedules, and staff assignments across multiple active projects.

Develop drainage, floodplain, and stormwater solutions for a wide range of land development projects.

Perform modeling and analysis using tools such as HEC-HMS, HEC-RAS, XPStorm, and comparable platforms.

Prepare floodplain documentation and manage CLOMR and LOMR submittals with FEMA and local jurisdictions.

Design stormwater management systems and plans for sites with challenging drainage conditions.

Apply knowledge of BMPs, MS4 requirements, stream and channel improvements, and low-impact development strategies.

Coordinate with surveyors, permitting agencies, and construction teams to ensure designs are buildable and approved.

Maintain regular communication with clients and regulatory agencies throughout the project lifecycle.

Review project finances, including invoices, budgets, and cash flow.

Support proposal efforts, marketing activities, and long-term client development.

What We're Looking For

A bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or comparable hands‑on experience in land development.

Strong working knowledge of hydrologic and hydraulic analysis, with required experience in HEC-HMS and HEC-RAS.

Experience with XPStorm is a plus.

Exposure to TxDOT projects or standards is beneficial.

Active Professional Engineer (P.E.) license.

Texas Certified Floodplain Manager (CFM) certification preferred.

Ability to manage teams, prioritize workloads, and deliver consistent results.

Valid Texas driver's license if travel is required.

Clear verbal and written communication skills in English.
