Requirements: Degree in Turfgrass Management or Plant Science preferred. Pesticide License in first year. Experience in all aspects of golf course grounds management as a superintendent or assistant preferred.
About Us: Parkview Fairways is a busy 18‑hole public course adjacent to a park. First opened in 1994, designed by Pete Craig, located in the growing southeast area of Rochester, NY. 30 minutes from downtown Rochester and part of the Finger Lakes area.
Parkview is a pleasant course to manage, with a good water source, irrigation system and sand greens. The maintenance facilities include 3,000 sqft heated maintenance building and 2 large equipment storage buildings.
Key Responsibilities and Expectations
Supervise seasonal grounds staff of 6+ in mowing, bunker grooming, tee maintenance, path maintenance, hole rotation, and all other aspects of golf course maintenance.
Maintain an equipment fleet with the help of a year round mechanic.
Manage pesticide applications on greens and tees of fungicide, growth regulators, etc. Application of greater course herbicides, pre‑emergents, and grub control.
Irrigation management. Includes watering schedule, system maintenance and repair of Toro system with DAF pump station.
